BGBG is an iPhone image-framing app. This page explains how the app, this website, and support requests handle information.
Images and projects in the app
BGBG processes images on your device. Projects include imported image copies, editing settings, and generated thumbnails, stored in the app’s local storage. BGBG does not operate an image-upload backend, require an account, collect in-app analytics, or provide cloud project sync.
Pixelation is an editable effect. The imported original remains in the local project so you can change or remove the effect later. Exporting a pixelated PNG does not remove information from the original in the project, Photos, or Files.
Photo permissions and sharing
Photos import uses Apple’s system picker. Saving an image to Photos requests permission to add to your photo library. You can manage permissions in iOS Settings. Files import and the share sheet use system interfaces.
An iCloud-backed image may need to download before import. When you share an exported PNG, the receiving app or service handles it according to its own settings and policies. Device and iCloud backups follow your Apple settings; local storage does not mean that system backups are disabled.
Deleting images and projects
Deleting a project removes its editable data from BGBG on that device. Previously exported files, originals in Photos or Files, and copies in backups or other services are separate. Manage those copies in the relevant app or service. Uninstalling BGBG removes its local app data.
This website
This website uses Loomlytics to measure website usage. It does not include an image uploader, advertising trackers, or a sign-up form. The interactive background preview runs in your browser and does not send images or selections to us.
The site is hosted through Cloudflare Pages. Hosting providers process connection information such as IP addresses and request details to deliver and protect websites. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy for details about its processing.
Contacting support
If you email mohit@hey.com, your email address, message, and any attachments are handled through email to answer your request. Send only information you want to share. You can contact the same address to request deletion of support correspondence, subject to any retention obligations that apply.
